Direct Employer "Hotspots" (H-2B Friendly)

Sometimes the best way is to go straight to the source. These companies are currently facing the biggest labor shortages and often hire through the agencies mentioned above:

Important Advice

The H-2B visa is capped at 66,000 per year (split into two halves). For the 2026 season, the "second half" visas are already in high demand.

  • Beware of Scams: Remind everyone that it is illegal for a recruiter to charge a worker a "placement fee" for an H-2B job. The US employer must pay these costs.
  • MSHA Certification: If they can show on their CV that they are "MSHA Ready" or willing to take the 24-hour New Miner Training, they will be moved to the top of the pile.
MSHA certification ensures miners and mining personnel are trained to meet federal safety and health standards, covering both surface and underground operations.
