Hi everyone,
I’m Jacques Faith, and I’m back in South Africa after an incredible nine months working on farms across America! I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you, my newsletter subscribers and social media followers, for your amazing support throughout this past season.
Sharing my journey with you has been a big part of the experience for me. But the most rewarding part of all has been coming home to my beloved wife, family, and friends. It’s been fantastic to catch up, share stories, and hand out presents!
Communication is Key
One of the most important things I learned during my time abroad is the importance of staying connected with loved ones back home. Even a short text or message to say “thinking of you” can make a big difference and keep everyone excited about your return.
Looking Back and Looking Forward
The money I made this year was good, although it wasn’t quite as much as the previous year. However, it’s still significantly better than what I could earn locally given our current economic situation.
While I love South Africa and would much rather work here if possible, working on farms in America has been a tremendous help to my family. That’s why I’m planning to return for a fourth season in March, God willing!

I’m also happy to share that my wife has finally been offered a job in America! This is something we’ve been working towards for three years now, and we’re both incredibly excited for her to experience what I have over the past few seasons.
